SHRI GURU TEGH GURDWARA

WHERE IS IT? In the Southside on St Andrews Drive, just around the corner from Shields Road subway station

As of 2020, there are only seven gurdwaras in Scotland, and four of them are in Glasgow. Shri Guru Tegh Gurdwara is one of the oldest, having been founded in the 1960s to cater for an influx of Sikh migrants to the city.

While it may not be asoutwardly grand as more recent gurdawaras built in the city, inside is a bright and welcoming community that is a testament to its history.
